I had to clean up my stamp room today so I thought I would show you some pictures because this is probably as clean as it will ever be! I have seen pictures of some people's rooms and everything is so neat and orderly (either that or the mess is behind those lovely closed doors and drawers?). My stamp room will may not ever look like that - for one thing, I am cheap! Have you seen the prices on those pretty cabinets and drawers??? It was a stretch for me to actually pay Container Store prices for my shelves and that is all I am going to do. Another reason is that having everything where I can see it just helps the creative juices flow. Last, if my room was that neat, that would mean I am spending all my time cleaning up and not stamping - no fun, no way, not gonna do it! Well are you ready to see? Here we go (you can click on the picture if you want to really look)...
Did you see my "photo studio" under the table? The old computer in the corner is going to go soon too make room for more 12X12 paper storage - yes, I need more paper - you can never have too mcuh paper!! I wonder why I have a lint brush in my stamp room? Can you spot the contraband (non Stampin'Up! junk? Yep, there is a little bit of contraband but not much because Stampin'Up! is THE BEST. Shhhh!!! Don't tell the Stampin'Up! police!!
Hmmm...I thought it was clean but it still looks like a mess in these pictures. I had a realtor once who told me to really see your house, take a picture and the "clutter will become clear". Hopefully, I don't ever have to move again because it would be awful to try and do something with this room! Oh well, I love it and I have soooooo much fun in this room!
Well, I was busy today designing my 2010 calendar (done now - phew!) - trying to get it done before 2010 :). I don't have it all put together yet so I will show it to you soon and today I will share a Valentine I made about 3 years ago - Wow, my stamping has changed! Just for fun, I will be showing a few of these "blasts" from the past over the next few weeks. Most of the materials are still current but not all. Where they are not current, there is something similar in the current catalog Lookie...
Regal Rose and Rose Red CS and Ruby Red ink. The flourish is from "Priceless". The rest is retired but similar items are the "I {Heart} Hearts" coming out in the Occasions Mini on Jan 5, "Heard from the Heart (pg 142, big catty-use your markers if you just want the word) and "Bella Toile" background stamp (pg 134, big catty).
Have a GREAT day and fun tonight!! Michelle
