Stampin'Up! 2Q 2010 Calendar

Is anyone as stuffed as I am???  Seems like I started eating on 12/24 and have not stopped since then - definitely going to have to cut back soon!!!  Cooking is one of my other passions besides stamping and since I have been vacation from my real job, I have been a cookin' and stampin' fool!!  But..I am sure you have all been eagerly awaiting the 2nd quarter of the 2010 desk calendar so here ya' go...

Lots of punch fun on these and the May leaves are Sizzlets for the Big Shot.  Did you notice the cordouroy button on the May page?  I love, love, love the cordouroy buttons and I have ordered them in lots and lots of colors.  What do you think of my "glass" of lemonade for June?  It turned out so cut - just some vellum colored with the Crushed Curry marker (yeah for In Color markers this year!!).  I used some Razzleberry Lemonad DSP and a straw from the pantry that I cut to fit.  The straw stripe actually matches the Pumpkin Pie - what are the odds??  The calendars are 4 X 4 with a coaster cover and back and an easel stand (you will see the assembled calendar in the last of the posts).

Posting a little late today but I hope everyone’s New Year has started out with a *BANG*.  Ours certainly did last night – many, many fireworks lost there lives last night but oh the fun we had!!!  Here is a picture of one of the rockets taking off on a really slow shutter speed – I should have gotten a tripod but it still looks cool I think.

 

 

Since it is a brand spankin' new year, we all need new calendars to start off the new year and I will be posting my version of a coaster desk calendar a quarter at a time and then culminating with the assembled project.  I did use a Bind-It-All but you can easily use the Crop-a-dile and jump rings.  I did learn a lesson on this one…PUNCH FIRST for whatever binding you will use, decorate second.  I had to do some maneuvering on some of the pages but it still turned out really, really cute.  Here is Q1:

 

There is the Faux Diamonds technique on the snowman in January, one of the new Sending Love Epoxy brads on February and the “Go Green” single stamp and some punch fun on March.  Enjoy!!
